Bethany Spalding

After graduating from O'Neill, I went to Williams College. I graduated in 1989 and moved to China where I lived for a year, teaching English and Western Culture in a medical school. I came back to the US to go to Harvard Law School. After graduating from law school, I moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, where I practiced law for 10 years as a public defender. I'm now a magistrate for the district court here in Fairbanks. I married my husband Fred in 1998. Fred is a paramedic for the City of Fairbanks. We have two daughters (Nina is 4 and Skye is 2). We love it here in the great north country and plan to stay here at least until our kids have grown up.
